About the Facilitator

Anila Mathew is a writer, entrepreneur and publishing professional with experience across multiple facets of the publishing ecosystem.

She is the founder of Kinder Kalari, an initiative dedicated to creating bilingual Malayalam-English learning resources for children. Through Kinder Kalari, she has independently published children’s books and educational products, gaining firsthand experience in the self-publishing process.

Her poetry has been featured in national anthologies, and she was invited as a speaker at the Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters (MBIFL) 2026, one of India’s leading literary festivals.

Anila is also the Director of Anaswara Offset Pvt. Ltd., a leading printing and packaging company with over four decades of industry experience. Through her work at Anaswara, she has collaborated with established publishers, emerging publishing houses, educational institutions, businesses and independent authors, supporting the production of a wide range of books and publications.

Combining the perspectives of a writer, self-publisher and publishing service provider, she brings a practical understanding of the journey from manuscript to market.

Through The Writer’s Launchpad, she aims to help aspiring authors navigate the publishing landscape, understand their options, and create a clear roadmap towards becoming published authors.
